The installation of the Warn XP 9.5 Winch was easy and straightforward, as the bolts and wiring were accessible and self explanatory. I enjoy the gearing and speed the 9.5 offers. It is plenty to drag my JKU even when in park or pulling in reverse (long story don’t ask). The cable length provided is plenty long for most situation even if a block is required. The remote is rugged with plenty of lead length to operate from the cab if needed.
I am traditionally not a fan of the steel cable on a recovery winch and had planned to replace with some high strength winch rope. However the drum attachment is such that it requires a grommet or eyelet more conducive to crimp on steel. It will require some modification if one wants to go that direction.
Overall, the Warn XP 9.5 Winch has more than enough power for a jeep of any size. Easy to use. If used often some may like the convenience of rope instead of cable. Only wish was upgrading to one that was already equipped as such.
